Jackson House has recently under gone significant changes.
Jackson House, constructed in a large L shape comprises four floors, reaching a total of approximately 30 metres high, extending south from Luck House.
The third and fourth levels of Jackson House are now the Year Six, Seven, Eight and Nine dorms. The girls can share spacious double rooms with amenities at both ends of the dorm and supervisors rooms on both floors. Living in Jackson House is a positive experience for the girls, helping them to overcome the difficulties of boarding with ease and establishing life-long friendships.
The bottom floor being the original Gymnasium has been modified and enlarged to encapsulate a small auditorium for Primary Students and functions (also used as a dance studio), an exercise/activity area, sports equipment storage, a meeting room and outdoor stage for community events. This area was named the Mouritz Multi Purpose Hall or MMPH in honour of Bev Mouritz. Bev taught at Girls Grammar for 22 years and was the Principal from 2005 to 2010.
The ground floor of Jackson House currently houses the Mulder Library and Resource Centre.
The courtyard of Jackson House features an amphitheatre which is used for outdoor lessons. There is a giant chess board and set that can be used by students during breaks, along with undercover dining settings. This is a comfortable and useful area for both day and boarding students.
