The Mouritz Multipurpose Hall is named after Bev Mouritz who retired in 2010. The naming is in recognition of the contribution that Bev made through her five years as Principal and her 23 years of service to the School as a teacher. This refurbishment of the original gymnasium was completed and in use in 2011 and officially named and opened in 2012.
The Hall was extensively refurbished and remodelled with the assistance of funds from the Federal BER Program. Since reopening after refurbishment, the Hall is in constant use. It is the curriculum dance studio, the venue for Primary Assemblies and Socials. The Various Girls Grammar Dance, Cheer and Sport Aerobic groups practice there every school day and week-ends.
The pleasant outlook on to the oval and to the South-east across the city lends it to hosting Staff Professional Development activities and Parent Information programs. The excellent audio visual equipment and air conditioning allows students to participate in school subject extension programs, social activities and exercise indoors when the weather is not conducive to strenuous outdoor pursuits.
