Boarding staff at Rockhampton Girls Grammar School are mostly senior ladies with years of experience in boarding school.

The staff are very committed and acutely aware of the needs of adolescent girls.

Years 10 to 12 study in their rooms while Years 6 to 9 girls study in the Mulder Library & Resource Centre which is open from 3pm until after second prep at 8.30pm. This enables the girls to have access to the latest technology in the Information Commons and Laptop Bar. Evening Prep sessions are held in the library and other classrooms on Sunday through Thursday and are fully supervised by our boarding staff. Students have School laptops and wireless internet access campus wide for their research or reading purposes. The music rooms also stay open and supervised for practice until 5.00pm.

After school tutoring by dedicated voluntary teachers is also available to the girls, particularly for Mathematics.

Communication between teachers and boarding staff is frequent to enhance the care and wellbeing of each student.
