Eisteddfod – Instrumental Results

June 23, 2017 at 11:09 am

Eisteddfod is finally over!

Final results for instrumental:

RGGS woodwind ensemble Very Highly Commended (that is 4th out of 17 competitors)

RGGS Recorder ensemble didn’t place, but some very lovely comments.

The String Ensemble didn’t place, but played really well. This is the first time in well over 15 years that we have actually had a string ensemble in the Eisteddfod, so that in itself is an amazing achievement. The girls are a beginner group and were up against some very well established groups. Jess Paton has worked so hard with this group and has done an incredible job. Bigger and better things to come from this group!

We had some very good individual results too –

  • Chloe Cowan – 1st for the Sonata and Accompaniment Section
  • Aleisha Cesar and Chanya Clark – 1st in 14 and Under Woodwind Trio/Duo
  • Aleisha Cesar – 1st for 12 and Under 14 Woodwind Solo
  • Aleisha Cesar – 2nd Under 14  Australian Composer
  • Aleisha Cesar – Highly Commended for Under 14 Modern Solo
  • Mirae Ries – Highly Commended for 14 and Under Brass Solo

Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement.
