Primary Council News

August 17, 2017 at 3:58 pm

Towards the end of last term, the Primary Student Council launched a donation drive for the Rockhampton Branch of the RSPCA and we had a great response from all families. Earlier this month, we were fortunate enough to deliver our sizeable collection of goods to Paul and his team. The girls were bursting with excitement when we got there and could not wait to hand it over and make their way inside to visit the animals. On behalf of all the Primary Council we would like to thank all those who made selfless contributions to our cause.

Dance Star / School Aerobics National Championships

August 17, 2017 at 3:25 pm

It has been a long road for Dance Company and the Sport Aerobics team but it has all paid off. These talented girls began their competitive journey in May at the Dance Star and School Aerobics State Preliminary Finals, qualifying for the next competition, the State Finals in June. With such fantastic results and all receiving 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in their respective sections, they were lucky enough to be selected to represent not only their school but Queensland at the Dance Star & School Aerobics National Championships on the Gold Coast on 4 – 6 August. With the majority of both Dance Company and the Sport Aerobics team being new this year, this is a wonderful achievement in itself and although they returned without medals, all routines were ranked in the top 10 of their sections. They did themselves and their school exceptionally proud and the enthusiasm and determination to succeed was evident! A special mention to Heather Maitland who ranked 5th out of 12 in the secondary soloist down tempo junior section, a highly competitive section!

Congratulations to everyone! It has been yet another successful year for Dance & Sport Aerobics
