On Tuesday evening, we gathered to celebrate the remarkable journey of our Year 12 boarders at a truly special farewell event. This occasion was filled with warmth, gratitude, and a touch of bittersweet emotion as we bid farewell to a group of young women who have contributed so much to our boarding community.
The evening was a celebration of the growth, friendships, and memories our Year 12 boarders have built during their time with us. It was also an opportunity to look ahead as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives. Siblings of the Year 12 boarders delivered heartfelt tributes, sharing personal reflections on the incredible young women they’ve watched grow over the years.
A highlight of the evening was the fantastic farewell speech by Jessica, our Boarding Prefect. With grace and poise, Jessica spoke about the strength and unity that defines our boarding house, and the lasting impact the Year 12 girls have had on our community.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to dress up for the occasion, and the room looked absolutely beautiful, adorned with lavender and baby’s breath, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. The Year 10 girls played a key role in making the evening a success, running the event with such professionalism, serving guests, and even performing for the crowd.
Heidi C and Heidi P stepped up as the evening’s MCs, leading the program with charm and enthusiasm. The musical entertainment, provided by sisters Olive and Joy, was truly moving, as they graced us with some beautiful singing that added a personal touch to the evening.
The food, as always, was a standout, and we extend a huge thank you to Kent and his team for the delicious spread that kept everyone satisfied. Behind the scenes, Mrs Ung and Mrs Dwyer worked tirelessly to organise and coordinate the evening, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. We also want to thank Ms Casey for her exceptional work as maitre’d, ensuring the evening ran smoothly from start to finish.
As we say goodbye to our Year 12 boarders, we know that they will be greatly missed. Their presence in our community has left an indelible mark, and we wish them all the best as they move forward into exciting new adventures. We are confident that they will continue to shine in all that they do, and we will always cherish the memories of their time with us.
