A Vibrant Weekend at Girls Grammar: Boarders' Adventure and School Spirit

As we revel in our Boarder long weekend, the campus is buzzing with excitement and energy. Over half of our beloved boarders have embarked on special journeys with their families or the families of their friends, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. For those who have chosen to stay, we've packed the weekend with an array of engaging activities that capture the essence of camaraderie and learning.

The spirit of Girls Grammar shone brightly on Thursday afternoon as 30 enthusiastic boarders gathered to support our soccer team in the Semi Final at RGS. The cheers and camaraderie displayed were a testament to the unity and passion that define our school community.

Friday morning brought the delectable delight of eggs benedict to fuel the girls for a day of adventure before setting off for a shopping escapade. In the afternoon, creativity took centre stage as the girls immersed themselves in arts and crafts activities, crafting their imaginations into reality. The day continued with the delightful task of making no-bake brownies, followed by a spirited BBQ on Kollar deck, fostering connections and laughter.

As the weekend approaches, the scenic Yeppoon lagoon beckons where the girls will bask in the splendid weather and relish the joy of hot chip sandwiches. A perfect blend of leisure and outdoor enjoyment encapsulates the essence of this excursion.

Sportsmanship and school pride will be the focus on Saturday as the boarders venture to watch St Brendan’s College engage in football matches.

But the excitement doesn't end there! The grand finale of the weekend will be reserved for the Netball Grand Finals on Sunday, where the girls unite once again to cheer for our school's netball teams.

Amidst this whirlwind of activities, our dedicated boarders have also managed to find time for their studies. The balance between extracurricular engagement and academic pursuits exemplifies their commitment to growth and learning.

As we gear up for the upcoming week, we anticipate the launch of the Australian Boarding School Survey. This survey holds great importance as it allows boarders and their families to voice their opinions and provide invaluable feedback. By listening to your thoughts and insights, we strive to make informed decisions that will enhance the Girls Grammar experience. It is important that as many families as possible complete these surveys.

In closing, we extend our warmest wishes for a fantastic week ahead to all our students, families, and supporters.
