What an incredible week it’s been for Rockhampton Girls Grammar School at Beef 2024! This prestigious event, which showcases the best of Australia’s beef industry, provided our students with unforgettable experiences and numerous opportunities to learn, compete, and connect.
Educational Tours: Engaging Young Minds
This year marked a significant milestone as our entire primary cohort participated in the educational tours throughout the week. The tours were both engaging and informative, offering our young students an in-depth look at the agricultural industry. From learning about cattle breeds to understanding the latest in farming technology, our students were exposed to the myriad facets of beef production. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were a testament to the importance of hands-on learning experiences.
For our Agriculture students also, Beef 2024 was a week of exploration and discovery. They had the chance to delve into the latest advancements in the industry, attend informative sessions, and interact with industry experts. This hands-on experience is invaluable for their studies and future careers in agriculture.

Show Team: A Showcase of Talent
Our Show Team, comprised of talented and dedicated students, participated in multiple judging events across the week. Competing against over 100 other schools, the competition was fierce. Although we did not secure a win, our girls displayed exceptional skill and sportsmanship. Their dedication and hard work made us incredibly proud, and they represented Rockhampton Girls Grammar School with grace and determination.
Community Spirit at the Marketing Stall
One of the highlights of the event was our Girls Grammar stall located in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion. It was wonderful to see our Girls Grammar community, both new and old, coming together. Our stall was a hub of activity, with plenty of giveaways, including the charming pinwheels that became a hit in the Beef 2024 marketing videos. A huge thank you goes to our dedicated staff and Prefects for managing the stall with such enthusiasm and professionalism. Your hard work and commitment did not go unnoticed, and you played a crucial role in making our presence at Beef 2024 a success.
