It is with a mixture of heartfelt gratitude and sadness that we announce the departure of two dedicated secondary teachers, Mr Gabriel Nader and Mr Dean Cullen, from our school community at the end of this year. Both educators have contributed significantly to the culture and learning environment here at Girls Grammar, and they will be truly missed by staff, students, and families alike.
Mr Gabriel Nader has been an integral member of our school community, admired for his gentle, genuine, and caring nature. With a deep love for both physics and psychology, Mr Nader has inspired countless students with his passion for these subjects, sparking curiosity and excitement in the classroom. Beyond his academic contributions, Gabriel is known for his unwavering willingness to lend a hand, always being the first to volunteer his time at school events. His kindness, character, quick wit, and even his iconic 'Dad joke' humour have left a lasting impression on us all. While the decision to leave his beloved Girls Grammar was not easy, Mr Nader is relocating to Sydney to be closer to his children and grandchildren - a decision that, while difficult, is rooted in his deep commitment to family. We will miss him greatly, but we wish him all the best as he moves into this new chapter of his life.
Also leaving us, though after a shorter time with us, is Mr Dean Cullen. Having joined us mid-year, Dean has quickly made a positive impact on our school community. His enthusiasm for teaching and the rapport he’s built with his students have been outstanding, and he has repeatedly remarked on the supportive and inclusive culture at Girls Grammar. Unfortunately, due to his partner's placement, Mr Cullen will be moving on from our school, and although his stay was brief, his contribution was sincere. His departure is a significant loss, but we wish him and his partner all the best in their future endeavours.
We are actively recruiting for both teaching roles and will keep our school community updated as we prepare to welcome new teachers in 2025. While it is always difficult to say goodbye to such valued members of our team, we are grateful for the time we’ve shared and the positive legacy each of them leaves behind.
Please join us in thanking Mr Nader and Mr Cullen for their dedication and wishing them every success and happiness in the future.
