During the recent holiday break, the IT department was busy installing all the technology into the recently refurbished Luck classrooms; we can now happily say that these new classrooms contain a level of technology that will be used as a minimum standard for all classroom refurbs moving forward.
Each room has been fitted out with interactive TVs for teacher\student engagement, Vivi wireless presentation units to allow teachers and students to have untethered access to present content on the interactive TV and of course each room has wireless network\internet access as well as other standard items like telephones. Breakout spaces and meeting rooms also have access to TV and Vivi allowing smaller groups of students to make use of these technologies.
We also had the opportunity to fit out our first outdoor classroom. Even though the outdoor classroom does not have access to an interactive TV, we have provisioned wireless access, for students to use their devices in the area as well as make use of IoT devices to improve learning and understanding of the technologies available within the agriculture sector.
We are looking forward to the next opportunity to improve the technology in our classrooms to further expand what we can offer our students.
