GG SPOTLIGHT: HANNAH'S STORY

Hannah is one of our Year 9 boarding students who is sharing her experience at Girls Grammar with her older sister. Hannah's mother and grandmother were also students of Girls Grammar making her a third generation Girls Grammar Girl.

We caught up with Hannah to ask her some questions about her schooling and boarding experiences here at Girls Grammar.

Tell us a little about yourself

"I live on a cattle property approximately 56km south west of Alpha with my parents, older sister and younger brother. At home, I like to help with the mustering, processing and trucking of cattle. During my holidays, I help break-in and prepare led steers to compete in the Junior Judges and Paraders competition at our local shows.

My hobbies include playing netball and cooking."

What do you like about boarding at Girls Grammar?

"What I like most about boarding at Girls Grammar is being able to form friendships with girls from all over the state and overseas. We are like one big family looking out for each other and supporting others when needed."

What do you like about going to school at Girls Grammar?

"What I like about going to school at Girls Grammar is the small class sizes that allows the teachers to give us extra help when we need it. It is nice to be noticed."

What would you tell other girls thinking of boarding at Girls Grammar?

"Coming from a small country town, Girls Grammar has given me the opportunity to be involved in team sport and form friendships with girls from diverse backgrounds. Boarding school has given me a second family."
