As we bid adieu to Term 3, we extend warm wishes to our beloved families for a delightful two-week break with your daughters. With classes on hold, the school will take on a quieter ambiance for a while. During this past week, we've been on exciting outings to the footy, enjoyed dinners at the Terrace, indulged in some retail therapy, and relished in a thrilling Scavenger Hunt organised by Macee and Jess. Additionally, a significant number of our boarders joined the netball break-up event on Tuesday night, making it a memorable evening for all.
As the break begins, I eagerly anticipate my trip to Hobart in the second week to attend the 2023 International Boarding Conference, themed 'Making Boarders' Lives Safer.' I'm particularly thrilled about the lineup of keynote speakers, including:
Hetty Johnson - Safeguarding - the greatest cultural shift to ever change the nation.
Adair Donaldson - Better Safe than Sorry – Empowering Boarders to become Ethical Upstanders
Susan McLean - Texts, Tech and Teens! The risk and reality of the online world for Boarding Schools.
Please take note that Girls Grammar Boarding will reopen at 1.00pm on Tuesday, 3 October, owing to the King's Birthday Public Holiday on Monday.
Next term, we are excited to welcome two new Year 10 girls into our boarding family!
Wishing you all a joyful and restful holiday season. 🌞
