As we dive into Term 4, it’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by! This term is always bustling with activities, and we’ve already kicked things off with a transition session for our incoming Prep students for 2025. It was wonderful to see so many new faces, including several siblings of current students. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Spence for running a fantastic session that warmly welcomed our new families to the RGGS community.
In week two, we were proud to witness one of our very own students, Ariana Benson, participate in the annual Ponytail Chop to raise funds for cancer research. Ariana, along with our entire school community, raised an incredible $10,000! This achievement is truly remarkable for a small community like ours - well done, Ariana!
Auditions are finished for one of our much-anticipated events, Girls' Rock. Both our P-3 and 4-6 choirs will be performing on the night, and we have several students performing solo acts from singing to dancing. We can’t wait to see the talent our students bring to the stage!
Last Friday, we participated in Day for Daniel and walked around the school wearing red ribbons and red hands made in our Sisters Group. This event serves as an important reminder for all of us to engage in conversations about our children’s safety and the strategies we can implement to ensure they are protected.
On Monday, the Prep students travelled to the Pilbeam Theatre to watch Pevan and Sarah. The performance was fun and exciting, but as representatives of our school it was genuinely heartwarming to receive compliments about the behaviour of students when they are out and about in the community. This culture of representing the school with pride is a huge part of our education at RGGS. Well done Prep!
As Christmas decorations begin to appear in stores, this term will certainly fly by. To stay updated on all our school activities, we encourage you to regularly check our Facebook page and keep an eye on your emails.
Thank you for your continued support, and let’s make the most of this busy and exciting term!
