On Friday 10 May, the Rockhampton Girls Grammar School community gathered for a delightful evening under the stars to celebrate the wonderful women in our lives at the Mother's Day Twilight Soiree. It was a heartwarming event filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of togetherness.
Guests were treated to an enchanting night that featured an array of activities and entertainment. The atmosphere was vibrant, with drinks and nibblies being enjoyed as attendees strolled through the mini night market and were captivated by live performances and art.
Mini Night Market
The mini night market was a highlight of the evening, showcasing stalls from our incredible community. Special thanks to our Girls Grammar boarders and Ruby Bell, along with Resin the Bar Jewelry by Ms Dawes, for their fantastic contributions. Live Art Show
A big thank you goes out to our talented students Amelia, Molly, Taylah, and Harley, who showcased their artistic skills in the Live Art Show. Their efforts not only entertained guests but also raised over $200 for the Fitzroy Community Hospice. This is a testament to their dedication and the supportive spirit of our community.
Student Performances
The evening was further enriched by stunning performances from our students. We congratulate Cadence, Kelsie, Davena, Hayley, Maddison, Kara-Lee, and Alexandra for their beautiful renditions in singing, keyboard, clarinet, and harp. Their talents shone brightly and were a joy to all who attended.
Special Thanks
A special thank you to one of our wonderful teachers Ms Francis-Leah, and her husband Carl, for providing additional entertainment throughout the night. Their performances added a magical touch to the event. For anyone seeking top-notch entertainment for their upcoming events, we highly recommend the duo, MotherLove.
A heartfelt thank you also to our wonderful students and staff who assisted with the setup and serving of food and drinks throughout the evening. Unfortunately there are far too many too name however your support didn't go unnoticed.
The Mother's Day Twilight Soiree was a beautiful occasion, celebrating the remarkable women who play such vital roles in our lives. It was a night to remember, full of community spirit and shared joy.
