The Year 11 Leadership Camp was an incredible experience for all students who attended. This camp was designed to build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and create lasting memories. Held at a picturesque location, the camp featured a variety of challenging and engaging activities.
Activities
High-Ropes Course
Students tested their courage and agility on the high-ropes course,
navigating through a series of elevated obstacles. This activity helped build confidence and trust among peers.
Team Group Initiatives
Through a series of group challenges and problem-solving tasks, students worked together to achieve common goals. These initiatives emphasised the importance of communication, collaboration, and creative thinking.
Orienteering
Equipped with maps and compasses, students set out on an orienteering adventure, honing their navigation skills. This activity promoted strategic thinking and resilience.
Night Cathedral Tour
A highlight of the camp was the night tour of the local cathedral. Students marveled at the architecture and history, experiencing a blend of education and adventure.
They were treated by the musical talents of Cadence Wone De Rungs, who sung a number of songs, which echoed through the caves.
Leadership and Team Building Sessions
Led by Ms Glasswell, Dr Fry, and Mrs Krehlik, these sessions were designed to enhance leadership qualities and team dynamics. Each session included interactive discussions, practical exercises, and reflective activities.
The Year 11 Leadership Camp was a resounding success, with students gaining valuable skills and experiences. They returned with a deeper understanding of leadership, a stronger sense of community, and unforgettable memories. The camp was not only an opportunity for personal growth but also a chance to build lasting friendships and a stronger school community.
